Tammy J. Pride
January 14, 1971 ~ April 11, 2023 (age 52) 52 Years Old
Tammy J. Pride, 52, of Hopkinton, passed away surrounded by the love of her family at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, New London. She was the loving wife of Seth A. Pride. Born in Westerly, RI on January 14, 1971, she was the daughter of the late Walter Gillan, III and Gladys(Laplante) Gillan.
Tammy worked as a teacher assistant and custodian for the Chariho school system for 33 years. She had such compassion and love for all her coworkers and students. Along being a hardworking individual, during her free time she enjoyed her DIY home projects, and scoring a good deal at the thrift shops. She loved being outside in the fresh air doing yard work and enjoying an evening stroll at her favorite place, the beach. If you know Tammy Pride, you would know how much she loved her Cadbury eggs during Easter and her New England clam cakes and chowder in the summer. She beamed with such positivity and happiness, and always kept you laughing and smiling. “Family First” and “Text me when you're home” were her most said phrases as love and family were what was most important to her.
Besides her husband Seth, she leaves behind her two children, daughter Arianna C. Turrisi, married to Stephen Turrisi and son Jarrod A. Pride. Along with her first granddaughter Adalynn A. Turrisi. Tammy also leaves behind her three sisters and two brothers, Terry Tefft, Wendy Ring, Kathy, Harold, and Bobby. As well as her Aunt, Heidi Greene, her five other aunts and her numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial celebration of life will be held at a later time. Further notice and date will be announced via facebook, Tammy J Pride.
