Sherry Lee LaRoche

Sherry Lee (Gardiner) LaRoche, 73, of Hope Valley, passed away on Tuesday, Dec 14, 2021 at Westerly Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Alfred J. LaRoche, Sr. Born in Westerly on August 13, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Theodore Wilson and Thora May (Kenyon) Gardiner.

Sherry was known for being easy going, fun loving and having an outgoing personality. When she wasn’t working at Key Dee Hand Designs, she would spend her time with her family especially her three sisters. It was like the 3 amigos with her sisters from hanging out shopping together to just sharing a good laugh while doing any activity. Always on the go, you could find her out spending time with her friends and of course always present with any event or holiday with the family. She loved being a mom and she was a team with her husband doing everything to support the family. She was a tough women and in her youth, she survived a brain tumor but continued to persevere and never let it stop her from her work or caring for the family. She could spend hours watching the birds and the feeder and shooing away the squirrels and holding on to her favorite stuffed animals that always brought her comfort. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She leaves her sons Alfred J. LaRoche, Jr., Brian LaRoche and his wife Kim, Danny Gardiner and his wife Samantha; her grandchildren Cody, James and DJ; her siblings Brenda Davis and husband Charles, Sr., Sally Ann Palmer, Theodore Gardiner and wife Betty and Gary Gardiner along with several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Wood River Cemetery, Nooseneck Hill Rd, Richmond.
