Ruth E. (Palmer) Fowler, 93, of Westerly, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the Westerly Hospital. She was the wife of the late Clifton A. Fowler. Born in Exeter, RI on January 1, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Lillian (Gardiner) Palmer.
Ruth’s greatest joy was staying at home with her husband and family. Clifton was the love of her life and together they raised a family which was everything she wanted. Being at home, cooking, and managing the household brought her happiness in life. She had worked for some time as the owner and operator of Larson Store in North Stonington many years ago. She also was a member of First Baptist Church in Hope Valley. She will be dearly missed by those who knew her.
She leaves many grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her children Ronald Fowler, Sandra Rupp and Lonny Fowler and her siblings Helen Cimalore, George Palmer, Kenneth Palmer, and Shirley Palmer.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 10am at Pendleton Hill Cemetery, North Stonington, CT.
