Ronald J. Donahue, Sr.

Ronald J. Donahue, Sr. 77, of Charlestown, RI died peacefully on February 18, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Diane (Blasik) Donahue.

Born in Westerly, RI on January 26, 1946 he was the son of the late John F. and Lois (Wilkinson) Donahue.

Ronald was a local builder in South County for many years, owned, and operated Corner Home Improvements in Charlestown. He was active in local civic organizations served on the Charlestown Elementary School building committee, Charlestown Chamber of Commerce and proudly served in the Rhode Island National Guard. He loved spending time with his family, friends and riding his John Deere tractor.

Besides his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, he will be sadly missed by his two children, Ronald J. Donahue, Jr. and his wife Sonia and Anne Marie Donahue Romeo and her husband Tim. He was the loving grandfather of, Amanda, Sierra, Justin, Ashley, Katlyn (Jake) and Cpl. Francis and great grandfather of Addison, Anthony and Danielle. He also leaves his sisters and brothers, Jo Anne Eastwood, Gladys Whitford, Paul Donahue and Roger Donahue. His brother, John Donahue, predeceased him.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday June 24th @ 10:00 am at the Dunn Corners Community Presbyterian Church.
