Roger D. Pierce

Roger “Rick” D. Pierce, 71, of Exeter, passed away after a long illness on Sunday, May 21, 2023. He was the husband of the late Christine L. (Tefft) Pierce. Born in South Kingstown, RI on May 26, 1951, he was the son of the late Anthony W. Pierce, Sr. and the late Nellie (Kelly) Pierce.

Rick was a dedicated and hardworking employee over the years for NK Ambulance Job Corp, RI Ladd Center, EB Quonset along with being on the EWG School Committee. He also was a sponsor for ASPCA. Outside of the office, he loved watching his Boston Red Sox and NY Giants games.

He leaves daughters Suzanne Pierce and Holly Danis; a nephew Thomas E. Tefft that was like a son to him; his grandchildren Katina, James and Skyla Grace; great-grandchildren Raelyn and Cora; his siblings Carol Andrew and Anthony Pierce along with Linda Leslie who he considered as a sister. He was preceded in death by his siblings Lois Briggs, Donald Pierce and Elaine Gardiner. Most importantly, he loved his family get togethers and spending time with those he cared about will forever be his most cherished memories. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A graveside service will be held at 11am on Saturday, June 3 at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Ten Rod Rd Route 102, Exeter.
