Ralph W. Tanner, Sr., 85, of Woodville Rd., Richmond, passed away on December 25, 2020. He was the loving husband of Nancy (Baton) Tanner. Ralph was the father of 12 children whom he loved and worked very hard to care for.
Ralph was born in Albany, NY on March 13, 1935 to the late Charles Tanner and Dorothy (Snyder) Tanner. He joined the Air Force during the Korean War. Ralph was also a member of the American Legion 0061 Warwick.
Ralph worked at Woodmansee Oil for 30 years and at General Dynamics in Quonset, RI for 8 years.
Besides his wife Nancy, Ralph leaves behind his children, Diane McKeen of Richmond, Arlene Waren of Lacey Washington, Dean Baton of Hope Valley, Theresa Tanner of Ashaway, Elizabeth Tanner or Warwick, Charles Tanner of Richmond, Timothy Tanner of Richmond, Marie Cabeceiras of Cambridge, Maryland, Kathy Hailey of Nashville Tennessee, Ralph Tanner, Jr. of Deltona Florida, Judith Whewell of Pawcatuck, Connecticut and Tammy Rodrigues of Pawcatuck, Connecticut; several grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Due to Covid restrictions a private burial with full honors will be held at a later date.
