Norma E. Barber

Norma E. (Edwards) Barber, 87, of Shannock Hill Rd, Carolina, RI died peacefully on Monday October 23, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.  She was the beloved wife o William O. Barber, Jr. sadly he passed away on December 3, 2016.
Born in South Kingstown, RI on May 6, 1936 she was the daughter of the late Calbert R. and Elsie (Prince) Edwards.
Norma worked for the United States Postal Service and retired as the Post Master of the Shannock, RI, Post Office.
Mrs. Barber was a member of the Charlestown, Richmond, Carolina Fire Department Auxiliary and the Hope Valley Ambulance Auxiliary.
Norma is survived by her son; Scott W. Barber and his companion Allison her grandson; Seth W. Barber and his wife Kayla and she also leaves seven great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late C. Elwood Edwards, Dorothy Pukas, Harry Edwards,Marion Gronstrom and Barbra Jordan.
A calling hour will be held on Friday November 3, 2023 from 10-11AM at the S.R. Avery Funeral Home, followed by burial in White Brook Cemetery, Carolina, RI.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hope Valley ambulance squad and Carolina Volunteer Fire Association.
