Manuel M. Souza

Manuel M. Souza, 87, of Hope Valley, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2019, surrounded by his loving children. He was the husband of the late Patricia (Comer) Souza. Born on January 13, 1932 in Cranston, he was the son of the late Manuel Souza and Bernadine (Furtado) Souza.

A self-made man, Manny was a successful house painter, lending his perfectionism and expertise to many a Rhode Island home. Favorite pastime – spending time with his children and extended family.

He is survived by his children Pamela Provisor and her husband Evan, Jacquelyn Miranda and her husband Robert, Manuel J. Souza, Patricia Grant and her husband Dennis McGinnity, and Joseph Souza and his wife, Jane. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his 4 siblings.

Funeral services will be held on April 3 at 11:30 AM at the S.R. Avery Funeral Home, 3A Bank St, Hope Valley. Calling hours are at the funeral home just prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.
