Josephine M. Boisvert

Josephine M. (Kennedy) Boisvert, 91, of Richmond, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. She was the wife of the late Robert Boisvert. Born in Westerly on January 4, 1931, she was the daughter of the late James G. and Mary Martha (Adler) Kennedy.

Josephine loved her family, cooking especially for the holidays and Sunday dinners. She enjoyed catering for St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hope Valley and was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 34. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She leaves her children Donna Sherman, Brenda Carlson, James Boisvert and wife Margarete and Kevin Boisvert; 9 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings Mary Ayotte, Theresa Fiske, Frank Kennedy, Ann Gardiner, James Kennedy, Anthony Kennedy and Katherine Coffin; her grandson Tyky and daughter-in-law Lynn.

Calling hours will be held from 5:00pm – 7:00pm on Friday, March 11, 2022 at the S.R. Avery Funeral Home 3A Bank St., Hope Valley, RI. A graveside service will be held the following day, Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 11:00am at Wood River Cemetery, Richmond.
