John H. Grills, II

John “Jack” H. Grills II, 73, of Spring St. Hope Valley, RI died peacefully on Wednesday April 28, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Valerie (Ainsworth) Grills.
Born in Westerly, RI on October 26, 1947 he was the son of the late John H. and Dorothy (Jones) Grills.
Jack was a sawyer for Thompson Native Lumber for over 45 years, retiring in late 2017. He was an avid gardener, loved to cook and a NASCAR fan.
Besides his loving and devoted wife he will be sadly missed by his daughter, Lauri Sauer (Todd), her children Sydney and Noah, his son Michael Gordon and his daughter, Samantha. He was the father of the late Lisa Jones and is survived by her children Ashlyn and Jamie. He also leaves his brother, Albert Grills (Nowelle), his sister, Kimberly Daniel (Ed), and her two children Eddie and Selena. Besides his parents and daughter he was predeceased by his sister Sally Grills. Jack also leaves behind his long- time friend Jimmy Thompson.
A celebration of Jack's life will be held at a later date after COVID 19 restrictions have been lifted. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
