John William Dutton, 67 of Westerly, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at The Westerly Hospital. Born in Wakefield on November 18, 1953, he was the son of the late John and Thelma (Lewis) Dutton, Jr.
John served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He also worked at Kenyon Mill for some time.
He loved fishing, hunting and he loved watching his western movies. He was a fun and loving man. He loved his children and family.
He leaves behind his twins, John Dutton, Jr. and Jodi Parenteau. His two sisters Barbra Algiere and Deborah Cahoon, four brothers David Dutton, Charles Dutton, Jimmy Dutton and Kenneth Dutton along with three grandchildren Jesse, Justin and Christian Parenteau and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his remembrance to St. Jude’s Society. John donated to them often.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter. Social distancing guidelines and other public health directives (i.e., use of facemasks) will be in place with an indoor capacity limit of 50 in the chapel. Please plan to arrive 15 min prior to the service time and all will meet directly in the administration parking lot of the cemetery.
