Joel T. Parzych

Joel T. Parzych, 80, of Wood River Junction, passed away at home on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. He was the husband of Muriel (Frenette) Parzych. Born in Westerly on April 29, 1941, he was the son of the late Varster and Viola (Dabrowski) Parzych.

Joel enjoyed his work as an aide at Ocean State Transit. Outside of work, he loved to spend his time outdoors going camping, hiking, fishing and looking for Quahogs. He loved all animals and watching the birds. He also started the Hopkinton Horseshoe League. He will be missed by his friends and family.

Besides his wife Muriel, he leaves his step-son Michael Lynch, step-daughter Sherry Madden and her husband Ronald, Sr.; a grandson mark Eckes; a sister Teresa Blais along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers.

Funeral services will be held privately.
