James R. Harden

James R. Harden, 86, of Narrow Lane Charlestown, RI, died peacefully on Thursday, October 27, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Barbara Brown Harden.

Born in Sterling, Ill, on March 15, 1936 he was the son of the late James F. and Esther Mary (Robert) Harden.

James served his country proudly in the United States Navy and retired from active duty after 20 years of service. He later went on to work in the HAVAC department at the University of Rhode Island retiring after many years of service.
Jim was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting.

Besides his wife he leaves his brother Allen Harden and his sister, Shirley Ryan both of Ill.

There will be a calling hour Friday from 11-12 with a service at noon at the S.R. Avery Funeral Home, 3A Bank St. Hope Valley, RI.

Burial will follow with full military honors in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter,RI
