Hope Marie Cahoon

Hope Marie (Dickey) Cahoon, 88, of Kingstown Road Richmond, RI died peacefully on Sunday, July 9, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Kleber Fredrick Cahoon.
Born in Richmond, RI on December 18, 1928 she was the daughter of the late Joseph William Dickey and Etta (Taber) Dickey.
Hope was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Hope Valley and a former member of the Chariho Southern Baptist Church. She was employed at Kenyon Industries for over 48 years before retiring. She loved cooking, and baking cookies for her family and friends.
Hope will be sadly missed by her loving and devoted son David Cahoon. She also leaves her beloved dog Sassie and several nieces and nephews. Hope was predeceased by her siblings, Adline Northup, Joseph Dickey, Jr., and Frank Dickey.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Hope Valley. Burial will follow in Wood River Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4-6 PM at the S.R. Avery Funeral Home, 3A Bank St. Hope Valley, RI.
