Gerald R. Peloquin, 71 of Shannock, RI died peacefully on Saturday April 17, 2021 at South County Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Brenda (Cornell) Peloquin.
Born in Providence, RI on October 23, 1949 he was the son of the late Roland Peloquin and Ann (Audette) Peloquin of Westerly, RI.
Gerry worked at Kenyon Mill Industries now Brookwood Finishing for over 30 years before retiring.
Mr. Peloquin served proudly in the United States Coast Guard during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Coastal Surveillance Force. He was Past Commander of the American Legion Downey Weaver Post #34 in Charlestown, RI.
Besides his wife and his mother he will be sadly missed by his children, Jerin Peloquin, Stephen Debigare and Jeffrey Debigare. He also leaves his sister Linda Riggs of Westerly and his five grandchildren, Jaedyn, Candice, Deion, Lincoln and Remi. He was predeceased by his sister Kathleen Andre.
Walk through calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from 4-7pm at S.R. Avery Funeral Home, 3A Bank St., Hope Valley, RI. Social distancing guidelines and other public health directives (i.e., use of facemasks) are in place.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 11am at The Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI. Everyone attending is ask to meet at the Administration Building at 10:45 AM.
