Evelyn E. Fagre

Evelyn E. (Greene) Fagre, 79 of Shannock, RI, died peacefully on Wednesday March 3, 2021 at her home. She was the beloved wife of John R. Fagre.

Born in Westerly, RI on July 29, 1941 she was the daughter of the late Milton R. and Mary (Waller) Greene.

Evelyn graduated from Westerly High School and went on to be a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant at the former Allen’s Nursing Home, now South Kingstown Nursing and Rehab for over 35 years before retiring.

Besides her dedicated and devoted husband of over 60 years she will be sadly missed by her children, Janice Haslam of Shannock, RI and John M. Fagre of Richmond. She also leaves several grand and several great grandchildren. She was predeceased by he daughter, Annette L. Fagre Wright and her brother, Fred Greene.

Walk through calling hours will be held at S.R. Avery Funeral Home, 3A Bank St, Hopkinton, RI on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 10-12 pm. Social distancing guidelines and other public health directives (i.e., use of facemasks and maximum of 30 people in the building at any given time) will be in place.

Followed by a graveside service at 12:30 with a Maximum of 50 people at First Hopkinton Cemetery, Chase Hill Road, Ahsaway, RI.
