Elizabeth L. Gardiner

Elizabeth L. "Betty" (Soares) Gardiner, 63, of Bank St. Hope Valley, R.I., died unexpectedly, on July 23, 2018. She was the beloved wife of David R. Gardiner.

Born in Providence, R.I., on April 28, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Matley) Soares.

Besides her husband she will be sadly missed by her two children; Beth Dumas of Hope Valley, R.I., and David J. Gardiner of Gale Ferry, CT. She also leaves her brother; Joseph Soares of Hope Valley, R.I., and her sister Debbie McLintock of Coventry, R.I. She was the loving grandmother of 6. She was predeceased by her sister; Joanne Soares.

A funeral service for Elizabeth will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., at the S.R. Avery Funeral Home, 3A Bank St. Hope Valley, R.I. A calling hour will precede the service from 10-11. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Hope Valley.
