Earl Harvey Tidd, age 75 of Carolina RI, passed away peacefully on 11/06/2022, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted and loving husband to his wife Roseann (Berard) Tidd, of 35 years. Born in Cranston, RI on July 12,1947, He was the son of the late Harold George and Mabel Edna (Branigan) Tidd.

Earl worked at Staples Corporate in Framingham, MA for 10 years as a Plan-o-gram specialist he retired in 2013. He shared many fond and funny stories of the people he worked with and was known to his friends there as the “Tiddster”.

He loved outdoor activities such as hiking with Roseann and his constant companion Gracie their loyal dog in addition to hiking, golfing and kayaking. He looked forward to watching his favorite team the Patriots any time there was a game. He took pleasure in traveling with his wife and was looking for the next adventure.

As a member of Carolina Free Baptist Church, Earl served as a Deacon, head of the Mission Committee, Fellowship Committee and Sexton. He was the first to volunteer whenever there was a need within the church family. Earl served for several years on the board of directors for CareNet Pregnancy Center now known as Harmony.

Besides his loving wife Roseann, he leaves his children (Erik Tidd, Jennifer (Blanchard) Lavornia her husband Christopher Lavornia, Candice Blanchard and her husband Daniel Bahan ); seven grandchildren; his sister Nancy (Tidd) Mosher and her husband Raymond Mosher, and his sister in-law Anna Tidd; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by (his brother Alan Tidd and grandson Corey WIlliamson.

A celebration of Earl’s life will be held at Carolina Free Baptist Church, 504 Carolina Back Rd, Charlestown, RI 02813 on Sunday November 13th. Calling hours begin at 1-2 for family only and friends may gather from 2-4PM directly followed by a memorial service. Upon conclusion of the service refreshments will be provided. A private burial with military honors will be held on Monday at 1PM at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.
