Donna (Woods) Delorey, 74, of Charlestown, RI, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, April 6, 2018.
Donna worked as an RN at South Shore Mental Health Center for more than 30 years before retiring in 2014. She was an accomplished and avid knitter. Donna doted on her grandchildren and on her birds, cats and dogs. She enjoyed RV camping, spending winters in St. Augustine and traveling to different parts of the country.
She was the loving wife of Paul Delorey, and together they shared 17 years of marriage. Born in Springfield, MA, she was the daughter of Barbara and the late Stanley Woods. She leaves her husband, her mother, Barbara Woods, of Deer Isle, ME; her children, Brenda DeMerchant, Matthew Jacques, of Charlestown, RI, and Eric Jacques, of St. Augustine, FL. She also leaves her sisters, Diane Bloomstone, of Columbus, OH and Deborah Hill, of Holland, OH. She also leaves four grandchildren, Kyle and Emily DeMerchant, and Case and Camille Jacques. She was predeceased in death by her brother, Daniel Woods.
Family and friends are welcome to calling hours at S.R Avery Funeral Home, 3A Bank St., Hope Valley, RI on Monday, April 16, 2018 from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 11:00a.m. at St. James Chapel, 2079 Matunuck School House Rd, Charlestown, RI. All are invited to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow at White Brook Cemetery, Pine Hill Rd, Richmond, RI.
