Diane Bernice Sullivan, 63, of Hope Valley, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born in Long Island City, NY on November 30, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Diane (Bower) Marks.
Diane graduated from The Gilbert School in Winstead, CT and went on to earn her business degree at Ocean State Business Institute, RI. For many years she worked as a server at the Veranda Cafe at Foxwoods, CT and was beloved by her coworkers.
She is most known for her sense of humor and infectious laugh and was the happiest being around her family and friends. She had a flair for cooking and baking and was passionate about gardening. Diane’s warm and caring personality will be remembered by all who knew her.
She leaves her three children, Jessica Sullivan, Joshua Sullivan, and Kelly Sullivan; her grandchildren Kyle Sullivan, Joshua Sullivan Jr., Kai Sullivan, Brendan Sullivan and Alana Gavitt; her siblings Debra Donavon, and Robert Marks; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her long-term partner, Charles Lanphear Jr.
A celebration of Diane’s life will be held at a later date. S.R. Avery Funeral Home, 3A Bank St. Hope Valley, RI.
