Diane J. Noyes

Diane J. Noyes, 75, of Charlestown, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 25, 2017. She was the wife of the late Leroy E. Noyes. Born in South Kingstown, RI on June 17, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Elinor (Hall) Bentley.

Diane worked for the State of RI as a business office manager for 37 years. Outside of her work, she stayed active in her community through the Chariho Little League, the Chariho Boosters Club along with being in the Ladies Auxiliary for the Charlestown and Richmond Fire Departments. Above all else, she loved her family. Being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother brought her the most joy especially the times spent with her great-grandson Maddox, who was the light of her life. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She leaves her two sons Greg S. Noyes and his wife Laurie of Carolina and Timothy L. Noyes of Charlestown; her grandchildren G. Scott Noyes and wife Sarah and their son Maddox Royston Noyes of Shannock, Megan Noyes of Charlestown and Elizabeth Noyes and her fiancé Tom Weeden of Westerly; her siblings Linda Greenall of Carolina, Constance Bentley of Narragansett, Karen McGuiness of Cranston, Howard Bentley of Richmond, Paul Bentley of Wood River Junction, Robert Bentley of Charlestown, Audrey Burdick of Wood River Junction and Barbara Connell of Ashaway; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings Janet Cornell, Harold Bentley and Jeffrey Bentley.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the S.R Avery Funeral Home 3A Bank St. Hope Valley, RI. A service will immediately follow the calling hours at the funeral home at 4:00 pm. Burial will be held privately by the family.
