Danielle Arleen Silva

July 9, 1941 ~ October 11, 2021 (age 80) 80 Years Old

Tribute

Danielle Silva, 80, of Richmond, passed away on October 11, 2021. She was the wife of the late Gilbert Silva. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, on July 9, 1941, Danielle was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Jeanne (Phaneuf) DiDonato.
Danielle was a stay-at-home mom for many years, caring for her own mother, children, and even grandchildren. After her husband passed, she worked in the Hopkinton Town Hall as an Assistant to the Town Clerk, retiring in 2002. She loved the contacts that she made in the town and the people she worked with, especially her dear friend Judy. After retiring, she supported her daughter by watching her young children.
Danielle loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She had a witty personality, and she loved to have fun. When her husband was alive, they loved to dance together, especially the jitterbug. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends, and she kept in touch with many friends from childhood and high school. Danielle enjoyed sports and games, especially football, the New England Patriots, and Tom Brady. Through the years she always found peace and serenity in the ocean and going to see the mountains. Recently, she became very attached to her grand-daughter’s cat, Thomas, who she was taking care of for a while. Danielle had a life of giving and caring for those around her, she will be missed by many.
Danielle leaves her son Wayne Silva (married to Jeanne Silva), daughter Jaymie Evans (married to Dale Evans), her departed son Matthew Silva (married to Melanie Silva), daughter Jennifer Haggerty (married to Thomas Haggerty), and son Joshua Silva (married to Rebecca Silva). She also leaves her 12 grandchildren: Jesse Silva, Rachelle Silva, Christopher Silva (married to Brittney Silva), Kimberly Ainsworth (married to Sam Ainsworth), Stephanie Spence, Derek Schultz, Nicholas Schultz, Matthew Silva Jr., Alexis Haggerty, Wyatt Haggerty, Noah Silva, and Mitchell Silva. And her 10+ great grandchildren: Haley Silva, Hannah Silva, Alice Biestek, Adelaide Biestek, Collin Ainsworth, Dillon Ainsworth, Riley Silva, Emma Silva, Colt Ellis-Silva, Sophie Silva, and a new baby boy Silva on the way. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Danielle was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert Silva, her parents Gaetano and Jeanne DiDonato, her sister Maxine Archambault, and her brother Regis DiDonato.
