Daniel Michael Baker

Daniel M. Baker, 34, of Augusta, GA, and Westerly, RI passed away unexpectedly on April 8, 2022.

Daniel was born on May 12, 1987 and spent his childhood years in Charlestown, RI. He went on to graduate from Burke County High School before pursuing an education at Augusta State University and Augusta Technical Institute. He worked for his grandfather’s textile converting business, Westmark Corporation, in Sterling, CT where he wore many hats.

As a young boy, Daniel was a Chariho Little League All-Star and grew up to be the #1 fan of the Red Sox. In his adult years, Dan loved spending time outdoors fishing, camping, and gardening. He had a love for animals and enjoyed cooking his favorite recipes, though his greatest joy was spending and documenting time with his family. Dan will be remembered for his kind-hearted spirit and caring nature and will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Daniel is survived by his father Paul and step-mother Bonnye Baker, his siblings Paul (Autumn), Mark, and Isabel, his many nieces and nephews whom he adored, and his grandmother Dorothy Baker.

Daniel was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Bedgood and his best friend and grandfather, Joseph “Norm” Baker.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, April 23rd from 2-4pm at S.R. Avery Funeral Home, 3A Bank St., Hope Valley, RI.

Burial is private.
