Christine Michelle Benoit, 37, of Westerly, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020. She was the loving wife of Alan Douglas Benoit. Born in Warwick on July 31, 1983, she was the daughter of Jacqueline Decelles and her fiancé Georg-Alexander Schuberth and the late David A. Grinnell, Sr.
Christine always had a big smile and you couldn’t help but enjoy being in her company. She had her routines which included daily runs to Dunkin Donuts and making sure that her nails were always done. Spending time fresh water fishing and watching butterflies were some of her favorite outdoor activities. Christine enjoyed baking professionally while working for Bake Fresh and previously for Dunkin Donuts. She was never idle and kept busy also crocheting, needlepoint and doing puzzles that she would turn into artwork for her home décor. Most importantly she loved being a mom and spending time with her children at every opportunity. She cherished every family moment and will be so dearly missed by all who knew her.
Besides her husband, she leave her children Joseph M.A. Garzarelli, Jr., Emma Marie Garzarelli and Dexgon-Roy Albert Decelles-Barnes; her siblings Elizabeth Anne Decelles, Rebecca Whitford and her husband Timothy and Joshua Decelles; her half-siblings David Grinnell, Jr. and Nicole Grinnell along with several nieces and nephews, a great-nephew and her special fur-baby and puppy Buddy.
