Catherine Cassidy

Catherine A. Cassidy, 77, of Charlestown, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020.

She was the wife of Robert H. Cassidy. Born in Hope Valley, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Briggs and Madeline (Ritter) Briggs.

Catherine worked at URI for 40 years, first in dining services and then in janitorial services/seamstress.
She loved to socialize and anything to do with animals. She was a special person who endeared herself to all she met.

She is survived by her daughter, Robin Kipp of Coventry and her husband Robert H. Cassidy of Charlestown. She was predeceased by her sister Frances Bluwit and Robert Briggs her brother.

A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 from 11-12 PM at S.R. Avery Funeral Home, 3A Bank St. Hope Valley, RI followed by burial at The Stone Family Cemetery, Fairview Ave, Hope Valley.
