Arthur L. Whitney, III

Arthur L. Whitney, III, 31 of Charlestown, RI died unexpectedly on Sunday, June 17, 2018.
Born in South Kingstown, RI on September 25, 1986 he was the son of the late Arthur L. Whitney, Jr. and Cynthia Champlin.
Arthur worked as a commercial fisherman out of Point Judith, RI for many years. In his youth he was involved with pee-wee football; playing with the Chariho Cowboys the year the team won the championship.
Arthur will be remembered as a loving father, son, nephew, brother and uncle.
He leaves his companion; Melissa Morales and his children, Ariana, Michael and Eli. His sisters; Casey Champlin and her children, Grover, Taurie, Mya, Mario and Jaylyn, his sister; Andria Whitney and her children, Cynthia and Ceilia; his aunts and uncles; Michael Champlin, Kenneth Champlin, Kevin Champlin, Valerie Jackson and Gordon Jackson . He also leaves; Scot, Carl, Nick, Ashley, Gordon . He was the great-grandson of the late Leon “Brownie” Champlin; grandson of the late Kenneth V. and Loretta (Rogers) Champlin; and nephew to the late Sandra (Champlin) Corey.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 4-7 PM at the S.R. Avery Funeral Home, 3A Bank St., Hope Valley, RI. Funeral services and burial will be private.
