Anthony Boragine, 75, of West Kingston, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2019 at the Coventry Center Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. He shared his life with his loving companion of 30 years, Ann T. (DeNuccio) Stamas. Born on September 4, 1942 in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Domenico and Ida (Votta) Boragine.
Besides his loving partner Ann of 30 years, he leaves his brothers Vincent Boragine, Nicholas Boragine and Domenic Boragine. A Stepson, Lee Stamas and his wife Rina and grandchildren Lee, Dylan, and Blake Stamas and Mia Morell of Exeter, RI.
Anthony (Tony) was a US Army Veteran and served as a heavy equipment operator in Germany. He worked in General Construction, roofing and home repairs. He had a great love of gardening and worked for a number of years in the Garden Center at Walmart. Anthony was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and wildlife. He spent many happy hours loading his own shell casings and tying flies. He also had a love of cooking and worked part time in a small diner and a VFW Post in Cranston, RI. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family and being a Great PaPa to his grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at 10:30a.m. at The New Hope Chapel, 80 Richmond Townhouse Rd., Carolina. Burial will be at 1:00p.m. at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter, RI. The S.R. Avery Funeral Home, 3A Bank St. Hope Valley, is assisting with arrangements.
