Allen Carsten, 102 of Shumankanuc Hill Road, Charlestown, RI died peacefully on Saturday December 8, 2018. He was the beloved husband of the late Josephine (Pukas) Carsten.
Born in Saskatchewan Canada on May 1, 1916 he was the son of the late William and Carrie (Koenig) Carten.
Mr. Carsten had been employed as a Heavy Equipment Operator for the State of Rhode Island for many years before retiring. He enjoyed spending time with his family and working in his yard at his home.
Allen will be sadly missed by his two children Theresa J. Clarke of Charlestown, RI and Robert A. Carsten of New Jersey. He also leaves 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service and burial in Wood River Cemetery will be private.
