Stephen Joseph Kessler

Stephen Joseph Kessler, 65, of Hopkinton, passed away on Tuesday, February 07, 2017, at his home. He was the loving husband of Judy (Tanguay) Kessler. Born in Westerly, RI on July 2, 1951, he was the son of the late Joseph and Jeanette (Jopson) Kessler.

Stephen was a hardworking and dedicated employee for Electric Boat for almost 30 years until his retirement. Family was always the first thing on his mind and by his long hours at work, he was able to provide for the family allowing his wife to be able to stay home and take care of their four children. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed his quality time at home watching wrestling, playing cards and of course spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Besides his wife Judy, he leaves his children Melissa, Steven, Kimberly and Tony Kessler and his grandchildren Ashlynn Cahill and Trevor and Savanna Kessler.

Honoring Stephen’s wishes, a cremation has taken place. All services will be held privately by the family. S. R. Avery Funeral Home, 3A Bank St., Hope Valley, RI is assisting the family with arrangements.
