Ruby E. Joslin

Ruby E. (Charnley) Joslin, 80, of Hopkinton, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital.  She shared 50 years of marriage with the late George Russell Joslin, Sr. Ruby was Born in Rockville, RI on October 11, 1936, she was the daughter of the late James and Gladys (Barber) Charnley.  
 
Ruby was a hardworking and dedicated employee for the Galloway Bus Lines as a bus driver for many years.  Ruby loved to stay active as a volunteer of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Alton Fire Department and ran a booth on their behalf at the Washington County Fair for years.  Ruby and Sonny (George) enjoyed camping and were members of Good Sam RV Club, traveling all over and enjoying their time in the outdoors.  Most importantly, Ruby loved her family and cherished every moment that she had to spend with them.  She was a good mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend and will be so dearly missed by all those who knew her.
 
She is survived by her children George Russell Joslin, Jr., Randy L. Joslin wife Helen, Jeanne M. Browning  husband Richard, James C. Joslin wife Mary, Donald F. Joslin, Sr.  wife Lori, Lisa A. Tibbits  husband Darrin, Bonnie J. Jacob  husband Jaime and Dori L. Boland husband Scott; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother Donald Charnley and his wife Mary; a sister Esther Falco; along with several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her son Bruce O. Joslin, a grandchild Donald F. Joslin, Jr. and a daughter-in-law Shelia A. Joslin.  
 
Family and friends are welcome to gather for calling hours on Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the S.R. Avery Funeral Home, 3A Bank St. in Hope Valley.  All other services and burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
