Robert Lee Dubeau, 74, of Hopkinton, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the Philip Hulitar Center in Providence. He was the wife of Danya J. (Whipple) Dubeau. Born in Westerly, RI on December 12, 1942, he was the son of the late Leo Charles and Mary Alice (O’Donnell) Dubeau.

Robert served his country proudly in the US Army during the time of the Vietnam War. He went on to work as a concrete truck driver for several companies including Wescon. As family was always the most important part of his life, together his wife and daughter they owned and operated the Alton General Store in Alton, RI. When Robert wasn’t working, he enjoyed fishing and just tinkering around the garage working on something. He was a good man and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Besides his loving wife, he leaves his daughter Becky Mattos of Westerly; his grandchildren Cierra and Camrym Mattos of Westerly; his brother Charlie Dubeau of FL; his sister Peggy Rousseau and her husband John of FL along with many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his beloved dogs and companions Scruffy and Rocco.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from 5:00pm until 7:00 p.m. at the S. R. Avery Funeral Home, 3A Bank St., Hope Valley. Burial will be held privately by the family.
