Rita A. (Martin) Edwards, 89, of Richmond, RI, died peacefully on Sunday April 14, 2024 at South County Hospital. She was the beloved wife of George S. Edwards, Jr. sadly he passed away on December 7, 2018.
Born in Westerly, RI on March 23, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Arthur J. and Sarah A. (Marshall) Martin.
Rita worked at the former Hamilton Webb Manufacturing in North Kingstown, RI for many years.
She enjoyed her home and going to civic organizations that her husband George belonged to in the Hope Valley and Richmond community.
Rita is survived by her sister-in-law’s Jodie J. Skinnard of North Kingstown, RI, Judy Presti of Buena Vista, VA and a brother-in-law Gerald Edwards of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She also leaves several cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday April 18, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Friends Cemetery, route 138 Richmond, RI. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
