Karen Thompson

Karen (Ellis) Thompson, 62 of Charlestown passed away unexpectedly on March 18, 2017. She was the wife of the late Robert S. Thompson who predeceased her in October 2016. She was also the mother of Melissa L. Thompson who passed on March 7, 2017.

She is survived by her son Joshua Thompson of Charlestown. She leaves a sister Lisa (Ellis) Ratkowski of Ohio and a brother Rick Ellis and his wife Denise of Ohio. She leaves two sister-in-laws Susan (Bob) Barney and Allison (Mike) Blau of Ohio and her father-in-law Robert Thompson also of Ohio. She also leaves her precious golden retriever Maggie and several friends that will miss her dearly.

Karen worked as a ward secretary at the Westerly Hospital for over 20 years and she was presently employed at Ocean State Transit as a bus monitor.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. S. R. Avery Funeral Home, 3A Bank St., Hope Valley is assisting the family with arrangements.
