Gerald A.W. Collins

Gerald “Jerry” A.W. Collins, 80 of Richmond, RI passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 9th. Jerry was born in Providence, RI on May 29, 1943 to the late Marshall Collins and Nina (Sweet) Collins. He was the beloved husband of Wanda J. (Allen) Collins. They would have celebrated 31 years of marriage this November.

Jerry joined the United States Air Force in 1960 during Vietnam. In 1972 he worked for the state of Rhode Island Forestry Division until retirement and was also a past post commander at the American Legion of Hope Valley.

Besides his loving wife Wanda, Jerry leaves his daughter Trisha L. Collins, his stepdaughter Nicole L. Allen, brothers Richard Carr, Wayne Collins and Roger Jaques, his sisters Lori Carr, Geraldine Carr, Donna Carr and five grandchildren. Jerry was predeceased by his son Michael W. Collins and brothers Ronald Carr and Edward Carr.
