Betty-Rita Kinney

Betty-Rita (Chesbro) Kinney, 76 of Maxson Hill Road Ashaway, RI died peacefully on Friday August 18, 2017 at her home. She was the beloved wife of David R. Kinney.
Born in New London, CT on December 29, 1940 she was the daughter of the late Floyd E. Chesbro and Bessie (Cooper) May.
Mrs. Kinney worked for the former Chickadee Farms for many years and retired from the Paragon Catalog in Westerly before her retirement.
Betty-Rita loved her home and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, baking, canning and working in her garden.
Besides her husband she will be sadly missed by her seven children; Russell Arnold of Colorado Springs, CO, Brenda Markel-Cook of Central Falls, RI, Debra Minzy of Griswold, CT, Linda M. Joslin of Hopkinton, RI, Audra Lester of Griffin, GA, Deidra Murphy of Charlestown, RI and Eddy Arnold of Pawcatuck, CT. She was the loving grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She also leaves her sisters and brother; Rosanne Palmer of Ledyard, CT, Regina Babonas of Groton, CT, Suzette Cleveland of AL, Darlene Crandall of Mystic, CT and Michael Chesbro of Lebanon, CT. She was predeceased by her brother; Floyd Chesbro and sister; Nancy Maher.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday August 22, 2017 from 5-7 PM at the S.R. Avery Funeral Home, 3A Bank St. Hope Valley, RI. Funeral service and burial will be private.
